November Post Ideas for Photographers | Marketing for Photographers with Ariel Dilworth

trust = business

Social media can be a very valuable tool for photographers! At the same time, we both know that coming up with what to post can feel like a lot! But social media is not for selling! It is is a way for us to show up regularly for our audience and establish connecting points with them. Because, when it comes to marketing, connection = trust and trust = business.

celebrate

One of my favorite ways to do this is to celebrate with my followers.

Whether it’s Dog Day, International Ice Cream for Breakfast Day, or the old “talk like a pirate day”… count me in! Any excuse to celebrate with my audience and raise brand awareness. (Click HERE to learn more about Social Media for Photographers)

Do I celebrate these holidays in real life? Probably not! Except i’m definitely going to be celebrating, “Ice Cream for Breakfast Day!” However, when we ignore all of these holidays, we are missing a valuable opportunity! We need to take advantage of trending topics and fun holiday content to establish potential connections with our audience. Yes, I am suggesting that someone might like you more just because you both like cookies and cream ice cream the best!

I created this list of fun ideas for social media posts for November! Now you have no excuses! Head over to Instagram or Facebook and get to planning!

November post ideas for photographers

November 1

National Authors Day (#NationalAuthorsDay)! I don’t know about you but I love reading! Take this chance to share with your audience what you’ve been reading lately! Or, give your list of favorite books on topics they are interested in. Whether that’s wedding or marriage related books, parenting or motherhood, the sky is the limit.

November 13

World Kindness Day (#WKD)! Kindness is something the world needs a little more of right now. Take this time to make a post about a story when someone’s kindness directly affected you or make a list of random acts of kindness for them to try today! Do a gift card giveaway for some Starbucks and then encourage them to pay for the person behind them and see how far it goes! 🙂 Or look up your favorite kindness quote on Pinterest and create a fun graphic for it using Canva.

November 19

National Entrepreneurs Day (#entrepreneursday)! Woot Woot! Today is the day to let the world in on what it is like to be an entrepreneur! Share a behind the scenes look at your like or a feel free to download the graphics below to share some free ways to help entrepreneurs!

November 26 (Last Thurs. in November)

Thanksgiving (#thanksgiving)! Share a family photo, a behind the scenes look at what your thanksgiving day looks like, or share a list of what you’re thankful for this year and ask them to drop what they are thankful for in the comments!

November 28

Small Business Saturday (#shopsmall)! Make a post about how important it is to shop small no matter what community you live in! Pair it with a cute graphic you made on Canva to make it extra “share-worthy.”

November 29

National Day of Listening (#DayofListening)! Make sure your audience feels heard by asking them what they would like to see from your business. Do a little market research and ask them what part of photo session process is most stressful (booking, day of preparations, actual session, waiting for photos, etc) and then brainstorm together what kind of videos you could make, blog posts you could write, or free guides you good give to take that stress away!
