We work really hard on an amazing post, we schedule it at just the right time and all we hear is crickets. When something goes wrong or doesn’t work, we feel the need to place the blame somewhere! And when it comes to Instagram, all the blame falls on the algorithm. So right here, right now, I’m going to tell you how to beat that instagram algorithm and kick your frustration to the curb!
The algorithm is essentially Instagram’s brain. And despite what you may think, it’s NOT out to get you! In fact, it’s supposed to be there to keep you happy!
In 2017 Instagram instituted the algorithm as a way to keep people on their platform by showing them interesting and engaging content. How does instagram know what is interesting and engaging to a particular person? Through their algorithm.
I post something to Instagram. The algorithm measures how quickly your post attracts engagement, and evaluates the relationship between your account and your audience’s accounts. Engagement on prior posts, shares, saves, direct messages, and even Instagram Stories can affect where your post shows up on someone’s feed.
